For all the 'singles' out there!
Have you ever been curious? Been peeking around the online dating sites? I have peeked at a few. Most of them you have to pay to even see anything. There are a few free ones out there - but you have limited access. Maybe you are already signed up for a few of them. I know people who met through these types of sites and are now happily married :) I know others who are in longterm relationships, and some in the 'just having fun going out now and then' stage, lol.
Well, I've had my fair share of them. Some are free - most are not! My friends Nicole and her mom Chris told me about this site. I really don't think this 'online dating' thing is for me - but this one is new, and totally free - so why not give it a try, right? It's very strange doing this dating thing again after so many years of marriage. I joined. Figured it couldn't hurt, lol.
I have mixed feelings about meeting people this way. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer meeting someone out and about (or are introduced by friends...) you start talking....and the next thing you know you are exchanging numbers and making plans to talk/see eachother again :) Does that even happen anymore?
It really is hard at this age to meet people. There are slim pickins. We are not in high school anymore - we can't ask our friends to ask their friends if he thinks we are cute, lol. Remember those days, haha. Sometimes I would like to go back. Attn: Guys --- we are here!! You see us in the grocery store /laundry mat / mall / restaurant... - you smile, we smile back - why don't you talk to us? Do we always have to make the first move? All you have to do is stop and say hello, haha it's as easy as that to start the conversation, lol. :)

My mom says that you shouldn't look for love, and I believe she is right. Love will find you :) (but it is still fun to take a peek now and then :) )
If you do join - be sure to really look at the picture you are planning to post. Look at the area behind and around you in the pic! I will never forget the picture I saw of one online dater. In the little thumbnail pic he looked kinda cute with a nice smile. I clicked to open the full size pic - and he was kinda cute and he did have a nice smile..... but.... behind him in the picture was the messiest kitchen I ever did see. The sink was piled high with dirty dishes, and the counter was filled the same! You could even see the trash can in the corner overflowing.... ugh! So - do yourself a favor before you post that pic - look at your surroundings in the picture, not just your smile, lol.
