For the past couple days they have been drilling under the road next door. Yes, UNDER THE ROAD, lol. Connecting the Park Place building to the City opf Aiken water/sewer systems.
Here is the company doing the work:

Here's the drill bits - very very large drill bits!:

And they never had to disrupt the traffic - didn't have to dig up the road or anything - how cool is that!

Hey Fredyt - thanks for stopping by. Cheers to you toO!!
Hi Leolinda :) Hope all is good out there in sunny SurpriseAZ! I can't wait for it to be done...I want to live in the penthouse :)
Later y'all
Kara, great to talk to you today and great blog. Under the road? Wow. Because we are so close to ocean levels here in Beaufort SC, all we would get is water by trying to go under a raod.
As far as the finished product from Stevens Builders, they look amazing. Great looking structure. I too often see builder constructing junk just to make a buck. It;s nice to see builders who want to make a buck but also take pride in what the build.
Here, the Beaufort SC real estate market has picked up a little. How are things in Aiken? I am projecting the rest of the year to be somewhat flat with 2010 marking the turn around.
Take care and give me a call if you ever make it the Beautiful Town of Beaufort, Todd.
PS I just started following you on Twitter!!!
Hey Todd - yes, it was nice to speak with you as well! Thanks for visiting my blog :) Buddy Stevens is doing a great job with this project! We are seeing more and more buyers coming to town - so, it does seem to be picking up a bit. Slow and steady wins the race, right, lol.
Have a great day - talk to you soon.
ps: I don't tweet that much!
I was wondering how they were going to do that. Very interesting.
they are really coming along with the framing - it's looking great
