That's me! I've always been proud of my little girl. (how can it be that she will be 23 and yet I haven't gotten any older, lol)
She gave me a call last night to see if I was home - said she was gonna drop something on my porch. Well, I was on my way home so I told her I would see her there!
Take a look at what she made for me! Unfortunately this is one art project that I won't be able to save forever.

looks just like my kitty! Except for the rhinestone collar, lol.

My neighbors have had their jack o'lanterns out - and spooky decorations...even strings of orange mini lights! Now my porch is 'in the spirit' too :)
Thanks Heather!
Happy Halloween Y'all!

How thoughtful. I agree that gifts that require effort and consideration are the most valuable. At least you will have your post to remind you.
Kara... That is AWESOME! How artistic is your daughter???? Wow! I get what you are saying about them getting older so fast! I have two little boys (ages 7 and almost 4) and they are already growing up too fast for me! Thank you for sharing your daughter's amazing talent!
Kara wow she is thoughtful and talented! Thanks for sharing I am going to show this to my little ones.
Kara, what a sweet kid! She also must lie about her age, there's no way you're old enough to have a child in their 20's!! ;-}
Kara It is sooo cute. She did a great job.
Kara, it is amazing how you don't get any older! I too have a little girl and I keep telling her that she's catching up to me in age. As far as not being able to keep Heather's artwork forever...you just did...in pictures...and in memories. Oh, and now, thanks to the internet, many more people can appreciate Heather's artwork. Thanks for taking pictures and sharing them with us.
Kara, how can yu have a 23 year old daughter when you are only 26 yourself?
What a creative pumpkin carving. I can't do pumpkins. I'm clumsy and not all that creative. I prefer to admire the works of others.
Thanks Ellie! - the first thing I did was take a pic!
Hi Melissa - yes they do grow up fast. too fast!
Hi Hope - she is very talented and creative -and thoughtful! :) that's my baby!
Laura, you are too kind! no, she doesn't lie about her age - not yet anyway, lol. and she is very sweet. we did a good job :)
Thanks Paddy! I couldn't believe it when I saw it - she really put some time in for her ole mom, lol
Hi Craig - it really is amazing isn't it! on the other hand - sometimes I look at my mom and her siblings and think - 'hey , when did they get older, I never even saw it happen?'
Oh Danny - you sweet talker you! Thanks :) (I think you made me blush, lol)
hi Chris Ann - good idea to stay away from them. clumsy and carving definitely don't go together! I don't mind carving them - but usually stick to a very traditional design, lol.
Happy Halloween everyone :)
Stinky in art form! I always thought stinky the most illuminating cat that I ever met!
Hi Kara - can Heather make one for me too!
Terrific punkin carving, Kara ... very thoughtful of Heather. I would never have thought you were that old! LOL. Happy Halloween!
Hi Jane Page - yes, she is very illuminating, I agree :)
Hi Gene - not sure, but I will ask her, lol
Hey Marie - I don't think I am that old either, lol. SHe is a great kid :)
Awesome Kara! Do you have a massive box of artwork that you hold on to? My daughter is 2 and it is quickly growing. I can't get rid of any of it.
Oh yes Matthew - you will need a very large box! Happy Halloween :)
I love carving pumpkins so much that I had a client appreciation event this year that involved pumpkin carving.
Hi Kara-That is so cute. You have a very talented daughter. I'm a crafter with more desire than talent not to mention so many different project I start and don't finish. One day maybe. It was nice chatting with you again
Hi Todd - I hope everyone had a good time carving the pumpkins! It can be fun :)
Hi Pat - thanks. I have a few projects started too --- I will finish them one day, too, lol.
Have a great weekend guys :)
That is so COOL! I love it! I forgot to take pics of our pumpkins this year! Thanks for sharing yours.
Thanks Terrie :) As soon as I saw it, I knew I was going to share it here with my fellow rainers!
It's just your younger sister here, being that you're 26 and all...haha nice pictures of the pumpkin, i saved em to my comp. :)
That's right!! haha. Hope you had a good time at the concert the other night. Glad you made it back safe and sound 'pumpkin carver' ;)
Kara, that is really sweet. You got good pictures of it so you can always look back on it. Lucky you to have such a caring daughter.
Hi Tanya - yah, she is a sweetie! And memories last forever, right ! Enjoy your weekend :)
