Aiken has something for EVERYONE ---- regardless of age!
I wasn't born here, but Aiken sure feels like home. Come see for yourself! What are you waiting for?

Hi Kara-I love that sign. You sure are Aiken's resident expert. I saw your previous blog with the icicles on everything, Brrrrrrrrr. VA has that as well. Guess we'd have to be in Fla not to have that happen. Chat again.
That sign is killing me. Too funny!
Hi Kara,
Yes, our website www.bestboomertowns.com conducted quite a bit of research on hundreds of cities in the United States. The key criteria for Baby Boomers included airport access, good hospitals, university, culture, good weather, affordable living, activities. Aiken looks gorgeous, Thank you for including us on your blog. Nancy Shonka Padberg, Publisher
HI Kara!
Love the sign! Ever get to Edisto? We have lots of Aiken folks who vacation or own at Edisto!! I've not been to Aiken but your blogs are making me want to visit!
Thanks,
Cindy
Hi Sharon - thanks! I don't really think of myself as the expert, but I like to try to keep folks informed! That is one of our most photographed signs!
Hey Melody! It is a REAL sign. The corner of Whiskey Road and Easy Street.
Hi Nancy - thanks for stopping by! I was happy to see Aiken on your list :) It is a great place to be
Hi Cindy - no, I've never been to Edisto---but everyone tells me I would love it :) My beach-of-choice here in SC is Hilton Head Island. I think I'll take a side trip to Edisto next time :)
That sign is an actual intersection! The corner of Easy Street and Whiskey Road. We have a running joke of sorts here---- How do you get to Easy Street? Turn right off Whiskey! hahaha :)
