Say hi if you see me there!!
I wasn't born here but Aiken sure feels like home! Come see for yourself. What are you waiting for?

Hi Kara-In addition to this post which is terrific. You sure do a great job of letting us all know what is happening in Aiken. I also read your post about the MeMe. I loved your second one about learning Italian. I hope your prince does come and sweep you away and you'll live happily ever after. Have a great evening. Until next time take care.
I switched from Catholicism to Presbyterianism way back in 1977 because of the Presbyterian music program. They had a Chancel Choir, a Women's Ensemble, a Women's Choir, a Men's Ensemble, a Men's Choir, a Youth Choir, a Young Adults Choir, and a Bell Choir. Lunch concerts were the norm, not to mention regular Sunday evening concerts by any choir or combination of choirs. Music is the International Language. Unfortunately, too many schools don't recognize that fact in today's world as the arts classes are the first to get cut in a budget crisis, leaving rap and hip-top to fill in as music, which, with it's anger and foul language, it does not do well.
Thanks Sharon - a prince would be nice, but there is always the chance that I will earn enough to get it myself :) Have a good night.
Hey Russel - I hope things are well for y'all. My sister switched the other way before she got married. Anyway it really sucks that art is one of the fist things to be cut in schools, like you said. VH1 has a 'save the music' fundraiser to help keep the arts going in school.
Really really enjoy your Aiken Blogs!
Thanks,
Cindy
awe thanks Cindy! Thanks alot :) I'll get to Edisto one of these days !
